A Few Words about the play

In an Athenian courtyard in 1950, five beautiful girls discovered in a heap of old 19th-century books, the Paul de Kock story book named "The Perilous Point". The book kept them company throughout their evening meeting, passing from one hand to the other, unleashing the hopeful, emotional and full of humour story of heroine Adelina Dezeron.

The short story "The Perilous Point" was written in the early 19th century and was published in Greek by an unknown translator in 1871, the year Paul De Kock died. The author with satirical mood and sensitivity, illuminates pieces of the Parisian life but mainly describes the power of the female soul, in his own unique way and with brighter colours.

Stage Reading

The Bath House of the Winds

Six ageless female figures pass through - hand-to-hand - the old, almost corrupted book written by Paul de Kock, which has been patiently hiding for years the short story of "THE PERILOUS POINT". Under the sounds of the violin, every woman in her own unique way, reads and a seemingly ordinary woman's story unfolds with sensitivity and humor. The theatrical play is followed by lectures - debates and 19th century screenings.
