14 workshops cover the course of the Book, from the birth of language, the discovery of writing, the revolution of typography to today's digital books. Children and parents have fun learning the adventure of the Book and discover its beauty and necessity through screenings, imaginative constructions, group plays and music.

"A world without books or the rocks as open books"
What was the world like without paper, without books? What is the Book and how important is it to communicate? Through theatrical play and construction games we will get to know the papyrus, the parchment, the first types of paper and we will understand the value of the book.


"Painting our sounds"
In this distant time, when people did not know the paper, they wrote stories without letters, with symbols and ideograms. With the help of projections and games with sounds and symbols, we will make our own stamps and learn about the discovery of writing.


"The history of paper"
Through projections and construction games we will spread out the maps and travel to Japan and China, make our own paper and chart the paper journey around the world.

"Books written by hand"
With screenings and constructions we will get to know the tradition of handmade books and the special styles. At the end of the workshop we will create and decorate our own handmade book.

"Gutenberg’s Stories"
Gutenberg, the father of Typography, has stories to tell us ... About Typography - - the art of capturing written word and images on paper and its contribution to the exchange of views, ideas, information and its transmission knowledge.

"Library, my love!"
What exactly is a library? Are they bookshelves? Are they high wall bookcases? Are they big dark and dusty rooms? Is it a green park? Or a playground? Through screenings, educational and entertaining games we will discover what a library really is, get to know the book sorting system and participate in a hidden treasure game.

"The books of the peoples"
Through screenings and videos we will get to know the books of the peoples and their traditions, we will identify their differences and similarities and we will try to become, for a while, Aztecs, Japanese, and Egyptians.

"Writer for a day"
How many times have we written funny stories or love stories or thought of a story that our grandmother used to tell us for distant times? In this workshop we will get to know the basic principles of writing and make our own story together. At the end of the workshop we will write it in our collective book.

“Hidden Libraries of Athens”
Through screenings and guided tours in the electronic catalogs, we will discover all the libraries of Athens and we will learn the ways in which we can search for the titles of books we want to read.


"Comic Books"
How did comics first appear and what need did they serve? In this workshop we will make our own comics and get to know the Manga style.

"Books differently!"
Origami means folding paper. It is an art that has influenced artists and architects as it best expresses contemporary aesthetic and philosophical trends. Come and get to know the art of our favorite Origami and make constructions and books with raw material paper.

"Silkscreen"
Screen printing has its roots in the simple stencils used in the Japanese style of Katazumi for the decoration of fabrics. Through constructions we will get to know the history of silkscreen printing and its techniques.

"Musical Fairy tales"
Reading fairy tales comes to life through sounds, improvisations and games. Then we will make our own musical instruments and we will musically dress our favorite fairy tales.


"Book Swirls"
A fun open movement lesson where young dancers will use music and dance, simple objects and lots of imagination to bring familiar stories to life through the books they love.
