Documentary filmmaking workshops for teenagers from border areas
"Timeless cycles, persistent lines, journeys of transformation"
The non-profit company Anassa is organizing in Alexandroupolis and Chios, an educational documentary filmmaking program for teenagers, which is being conducted from October and will be completed in December 2021.
The program consists of online documentary workshops and six days of filming, the outcome of which will be: the creation of 2 participatory documentaries by the teenagers themselves in collaboration with the animators, the creation of a website for posting the documentaries and an online closing ceremony. The online closing session will include documentaries’ screening and an exchange of views and experiences with the aim of creating future collaborations between the children. The starting point will be: Greek Literature, visual arts, press publications, contemporary photography and studies. Good filming techniques, the use of new technologies and the participatory process have been the basis for the project’s design and success. The documentaries made by teenagers will be posted on the website www.taksidiametamorfosis.com. For the implementation of the project, Anassa team collaborated with the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation at the Chios Mastic Museum, the Ethnological Museum of Thrace and the Alexandroupolis Film Club.
